24 SCENIC STATE PARK

This is a relaxing hike through a marsh and out onto a needle-cushioned path among aromatic pines. Here blue water and picturesque panoramic views merge. This area is the former home of a huge glacier that left the long, shapely esker that now divides Coon and Sandwick Lakes. It’s also home of the osprey, a large raptor whose nest of twigs looms in the upper branches of the tallest trees.
